Bomb Squads
For the past 70 years, deminers have been clearing conflict zones, Kuwait, Lebanon, Indochina, Afghanistan, and most recently, Mali. As part of an operation to fight armed terrorist groups there, a highly expert team of deminers is busy clearing the improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that cover its desert region. We travel there to witness the danger faced by military deminers as they protect inhabitants from the mines and other traps decimating the civilian population.
