Paris Monuments: Defying the Nazis
Wehrmacht forces entered Paris on June 13, 1940. In order to better enforce the might of New Berlin, the Führer manifested his desire to gain greater knowledge of Parisian architecture. But acts of resistance would be organized. The cables of the Eiffel Tower lifts were cut and the lifts would remain inoperative. Men and women joined the Resistance in the face of Germany's supremacy.
